Sensei Mat Phillips is the main instructor at Archway Jiu-Jitsu club. He is a black belt (1st dan) and has been studying Jiu-Jitsu for eight years.
 
He started training in Jiu-Jitsu whilst at university in Leeds, under sensei Tony Gill. After graduating, he moved back to London, where he continued training at City Jitsu Club under sensei Peter Hamer before starting Archway Jiu-Jitsu club after qualifying as an instructor in 2004.

Started Jitsu: 2003
 
Sensei Rosie Smith is the juniors (under 18s) instructor at Archway jiu-jitsu club. She is a brown belt (1st kyu) and has been studying jiu-jitsu for four and a half years.
 
Before joining Archway as an instructor in August 2007, she trained at City Jitsu Club under sensei Peter Hamer.
